Talk about Bucketlist jobs, this one was extremely exciting, both providing the sound department for a documentary for the RAF and acting party as a director for the interviews with the contributors. Getting to record as seen in the back of the Atlas A200M aircraft or certainly quite an experience and provided some serious technical challenges. in the end due to there, being a complete embargo on using radio microphones in the back of the aircraft in the sky the Tentacle Track E recorders were used to great effect. As they were timecode sync’d together and with the cameras made postproduction a doddle. I was also able to closely monitor them through the bluetooth connection they provide which was deemed acceptable by the pilots of the aircraft.
